Think of the Questionnaire feature as your project’s fortune teller —helping you see exactly what a client needs before you dive into the heavy lifting. From budgets to design dreams, this tool gathers the essentials so you never have to play the guessing game.


No more endless back-and-forth emails or “Oops, we didn’t know you wanted that!” surprises. With questionnaires, you get everything upfront—organized, clear, and client-approved.


What You Can Do With Questionnaires

  • Create Custom Questionnaires – Tailor every question to match your process.

  • Encourage Lead Responses – Smart strategies and automation keep clients engaged.

  • Use Ready-Made Templates – Save time with pre-built, industry-standard questions.

  • Send or Complete on Your Own – Either share with leads or fill it out live in a meeting.

  • Track Every Questionnaire – See statuses like Sent, Pending, Completed in real time.

Finding the Questionnaire Hub

Here’s how to get to your questionnaire tools:

  1. Go to the Side Navigation Bar.

  2. Select Template Center → then choose Questionnaire.

What You’ll See as a New User

  • Default Questionnaire Template – a ready-to-use option for quick starts.

  • Create New (Custom Questionnaire) – build your own tailored version.

  • Custom Questionnaire Column – if you’ve created custom questionnaires before, they’ll appear here for easy access.

This setup makes it simple whether you’re just starting or already managing multiple questionnaires.


Why Questionnaires Matter

During the early stages with a client, you need clarity on:

  • Budget

  • Timeline

  • Space usage & design preferences

The Questionnaire feature lets you capture all this in a structured, professional way. Customize questions, pick your input formats, and gather responses without hassle.


Getting More Clients to Respond

Getting clients to actually answer is half the battle. Here’s how to win it:

  • Keep it short & sharp → Ask only what you need, nothing extra.

  • Respect their time → Simple questions = quicker answers.

  • Automate follow-ups → Use the Automation Feature to:

    • Send reminders before a questionnaire expires

    • Keep responses flowing without manual nudges

Pro Tip: If a lead still hasn’t responded, use Answer by Own. This lets you select a questionnaire template and fill it in during a client call or meeting.


Building Your Own Custom Questionnaire

  1. Go to the Questionnaire Page.

  2. Click Create New (top-right corner).

  3. A Create Questionnaire popup will appear.

  4. Choose One Question Per Page, then hit Proceed.

  5. The Questionnaire Builder Page opens.

  6. Add your custom questions, adjust inputs, and save.

That’s it—your personalized questionnaire is ready to roll.

Two Ways to Complete a Questionnaire

Two ways to gather client input:

  • Send to Lead – Email them the questionnaire straight from IntoAEC.

Once sent, keep everything on your radar with the Tracking Dashboard:

  • View which questionnaires are Completed, Pending, or Expired

  • Set manual reminders for personal follow-up

  • Always stay informed—no more lost leads or missed answers
