Discovery Phase – Where Questionnaires Begin
The Discovery Phase is where conversations with your leads turn into real opportunities. It’s the place to ask the right questions, capture key details, and truly understand what your client needs. Let’s walk through how to find it, send questionnaires, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Where Can I Find the Discovery Phase?
Go to the Side Navigation Menu
Click CRM > Lead Manager
Choose the specific lead you’d like to work with
On the lead’s page, you’ll see the Discovery Phase section
Pro tip: If you’re unsure which questionnaire to send (or haven’t built one yet), don’t stress—we’ve got default questionnaires ready for you. You can always create a custom one later.
How do I send a questionnaire?
Inside the Discovery Phase, the process is simple:
Click Choose Questionnaire
Choose between:
Default Template (prebuilt, ready to go)
Custom Questionnaire (your personalized version)
Select the questionnaire you want to send
Only questionnaires that are created and shown will appear. If you can’t find yours:
Go to Template Center > Questionnaire
Enable the Show option
If it’s in the trash, select View Trash > Restore
If it still doesn’t show up, check if you:
Forgot to save while creating it
Permanently deleted it from trash
Preview Before You Send
Not sure how your questionnaire looks?
Click Preview to review it
If you’re happy, hit Confirm
From here, you’ll choose between:
Send Questionnaire (email it directly to your lead)
Answer by Own (fill it out yourself during a live conversation with the client)
Setting Expiration Dates
When sending, you can decide how long your lead has to respond:
Manual Expiry – Choose a specific number of days for that questionnaire.
Auto Expiry – Apply a default expiry timeline to all questionnaires automatically.
This way, questionnaires won’t linger forever, and you’ll know exactly when to follow up.
Tracking & Responses
Once sent, you’ll want to know:
Did the lead open the email?
Did they view the questionnaire?
Have they submitted it yet?

With Automation, you can set smart reminders and follow-ups:
Send nudges if a questionnaire hasn’t been opened
Remind leads before expiry
