Create an Inventory Item from Scratch

Sometimes you need to add a product that doesn’t yet exist in your system — no purchase order, no preloaded data, just a blank canvas. That’s where “Start from Scratch” comes in, giving you complete freedom to design your product’s digital identity.

Access the Inventory Section

  • From the left-hand navigation menu, select Inventory.

  • This opens your Inventory Dashboard — the central hub where all your products are managed.

Think of this as walking into your digital warehouse. Here, you can create, track, and organize every product your business deals with.

Start from Scratch

  • Click on the Add Product button to begin creating a new inventory item.

  • In the product creation options, select Start from Scratch.

  • Click Proceed to move forward.

This choice gives you a blank slate — a chance to define every detail of your product exactly the way you need it, without relying on predefined purchase orders.

Enter Product Details

Now you’ll land on the Product Details Form, where you define the identity of your new inventory item.

  • Fill in all the mandatory details for your product
  • Once all details are added, click Save

Every detail you add is like giving your product a digital identity card — ensuring smooth usage in transactions and reports.

View the Product in the Grid

  • After saving, the newly created product will appear in your Product Grid.

  • From here, you can:

    • Preview the product details,

    • Edit and update fields in the future if changes are needed,

    • Start using the product immediately in purchase orders, invoices, or inventory tracking.

Your once-blank product now takes shape as a fully functional entry in your inventory system — ready to support financial operations, reporting, and stock management.
