Adding an Item from Products in IntoAEC

Imagine you’re walking down a virtual showroom inside IntoAEC. Instead of racks and shelves, you have an intelligent panel that knows exactly what you’re looking for. Adding an item isn’t just a click—it’s like handpicking the right material for your project’s story.

Let’s start the journey

Unlock the Selection Aisle

  • Inside your Created Selection, hit the glowing Add Item button.

  • Choose From Products — and like magic, a Product Selection panel slides in from the side.
    This is your personal marketplace.

Pick Your Source of Truth

Every project pulls products from different places, and IntoAEC gives you three shelves:

  • My Products → Your curated inventory.

  • Clipped Products → Your bookmarked “favorites.”

  • Vendor Products → Supplier-driven catalogs.

Pick the source that matches your workflow.

Zero in With Smart Filters

Why scroll endlessly when filters can do the heavy lifting?

  • Select a Category (Flooring, Lighting, Furniture).

  • Narrow it down with a Subcategory (Tiles, Chandeliers, Sofas).

  • Click Apply → Watch the results instantly update.

It’s like having a smart assistant reshuffle the shelves for you.

Browse the Product List

Your results appear in a sleek, tabular display that feels more like a control panel than a list. For each product, you’ll see:

  • Product Name – The item’s name.
  • Category / Subcategory – For structured grouping.
  • Brand – Manufacturer or supplier details.
  • Quantity – Available stock or needed units.
  • Markup – Extra % added for profit/margin.
  • Selling Price – Final price after markup.

Every column gives you insight, not just data.

Select & Add With One Click

Found the right match?

  • Tick your chosen product(s).

  • Tap Add — and it instantly lands in your selection like dropping an item into a shopping cart.

Step 6: Shape Your Selection

Once in your Created Selection, each product isn’t just static data — it’s interactive:

  • Edit → Slide open a detail panel, update info (Name, Brand, Cost, Quantity, Unit Type), and save.

  • Delete → Safety first: a confirmation popup asks, “Are you sure?” before removal.

  • Preview → Instantly see Product Name, Quantity, Unit, and Total Amount in a clean read-only view.
