Managing Schedules in the Gantt View

The Gantt View in IntoAEC helps users visualize project timelines, track progress, and manage dependencies efficiently. Follow these steps to use it effectively:

Adding and Managing Phases

To structure your project, you can add major segments called phases by clicking the Add Phase button in the Gantt View

When you hover over a phase, a three-dot menu (⋮) appears, offering several options:

  • Edit Phase: Modify the name or details of the phase.

  • Add Child: Create sub-schedules or activities under the phase.

  • Change Color: Customize the phase color for easy identification on the Gantt chart.

  • Delete Phase: Remove the phase and all its child schedules if necessary.

  • Under the newly created schedule, click "+ Add Phase" to divide work into different phases.

  • Inside a phase, add specific tasks with timelines.

  • The Gantt chart displays tasks as horizontal bars based on their duration.
  • Click and drag a task bar to adjust its start and end dates.
  • Click "Mark As Completed" once a task or schedule is done.
  • Locate the schedule or task you want to modify.
  • Click on the "Edit" button next to the task.
  • A menu will appear with the following options:
Pause Task – Temporarily stop a task without deleting it.
Edit Task – Modify details like name, start date, and end date.
Delete Task – Remove the task permanently.
Add Child Task – Create a sub-task under the selected task.
Change Task Color – Customize the task’s appearance for better visualization.

This step-by-step process ensures that projects are well-structured, deadlines are met, and progress is tracked efficiently using IntoAEC’s Gantt View.
