Change Order – Manage Accepted Change Order Behavior

The Change Order setting allows you to control how an accepted change order affects its linked estimate. You can choose whether the accepted change order amount updates the linked estimate or remains independent.

Where to Find Change Order – Quick Access

1. Navigate to Settings.

2. Select Preferences.

3. Under Project & CRM Preferences, click Change Order.

4. The Change Order settings page will open.

What You Can Do Here

You can choose between two options:

• Option 1: Update linked estimate – Updates the linked estimate with the accepted change order amount.

• Option 2: Keep change order independent – Keeps the change order separate and leaves the linked estimate unchanged.

Select your preferred option and click Save to apply the setting.

Important Note

• The setting cannot be changed once change orders have already been created for the organization.

• The Save button is available when the setting can be modified.
